Purpose
Members can access their own Mystery Data at the press of a button rather than needing to wait for staff to roll two-dice, correlate the roll results to a rewards chart, find and copy the template code, and paste it for the member to receives their contents.
Plan
Sample Code:
[WORD = RawHTML] and
[WORD]
'Edit Post' screen:
[accessGreenMD]
Actual post:
Application
In my head, the "Mystery Data Access Thread" would be a "cannot edit post" + "cannot delete post" area where you'd simply post your Access Code and be required to provide your Acquisition Source of the data in question. Posts with broken code can be deleted by Staff. Staff will also monitor to ensure no cheating (1: Other staff aren't editing their own posts || 2: Members always post the source of the Mystery Data when rolling || 3: They are valid sources)
Limitations and Problems
None I can think of. Depending on how intricate it is (whether it spits out the full Item, format and all, or whether it just spits out the item's name), it may be difficult for others than ourselves to modify Mystery Data contents in the event of our inactivity or departure. For this reason, it would probably be best to just start out by spitting the Item Name, not to mention it woul be much easier going that route as well.
Much like how we're able to make our own "Default BBCode" in our profile (that auto-populates the Quick Reply and Reply boxes with whatever we've preset it as), I wonder if it's possible to have Replies to this thread auto-populated with the template-code for Accessing Mystery Data.
Progress
Completed Steps - Build a functional prototype
Current Step - Check Randomizer (ensure no patterns / exploits)
